VIDEO: Benji B & The Deviation String Quartet

The Red Bull Music Academy Revolutions in Sound event was pretty special. Taking place on the EDF London Eye, each working pod got filled with its own DJs or performers and then the groups of super lucky attendees got spun up into the night sky and treated to an exclusive hour long performance. Having attended the FABRICLIVE x Hessle Audio pod myself I can attest to the enormity of the entire event. Having Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea all DJ back to back for you and twenty or so other people whilst your hundreds of feet up in the air drinking free bourbon is a weird, wonderful and completely memorable experience.
Anyway, BBC Radio 1’s broadcasting monolith, Benji B also took over a pod. He went one step further though and drafted in a string quartet for the performance – truly one of those once in a lifetime gigs. You can watch the full performance in high definition on vimeo now…

Why are there no comments?? This is great, there are some good not mainstream classic songs on this performance like J Dilla, and Burial and much more. Big up for the Deviation string quartet. This connects.
